性质:白色块状结晶。密度2.55lg/cm3(液态,17.5℃)。熔点17.5℃。沸点35℃。遇干空气、氯气、二氧化硫不起反应。对湿空气敏感,生成蓝色的氧化钼。大量水溶解并分解。在强氧化剂存在下,室温能侵蚀许多金属(金、铂除外),使金属表面变为蓝色。与碱性氟化物生成配位化合物M21[MoF8]。
Properties: white massive crystals. The density is 2.55lg/cm3 (liquid, 17.5 C). The melting point is 17.5 degrees centigrade. The boiling point is 35 degrees centigrade. Dry air, chlorine gas and sulfur dioxide do not react. It is sensitive to wet air and produces blue molybdenum oxide. A large amount of water is dissolved and decomposed. In the presence of a strong oxidizer, a lot of metals (except gold and platinum) can be eroded at room temperature, making the metal surface blue. The coordination compound M21[MoF8] is formed with the basic fluoride.

主要用于钼的同位素分离。可在微电子工业中用作化学气相淀积硅化钼或钼,以制作低电阻、高熔点的互连线。
It is mainly used for isotopic separation of molybdenum. It can be used as the chemical vapor deposition of molybdenum or molybdenum in the microelectronics industry to make the interconnects of low resistance and high melting point.
